Pleasant Days Ahead For RGV

RIO GRANDE VALLEY:

Here were today’s high and low temperatures around the RGV:

Brownsville:  75/52
Harlingen:  78/48
McAllen:  80/52
South Padre Island:  72/63
Weslaco:  80/51
Edinburg:  81/51

Winds were finally manageable today, at least they weren’t 20+ mph all day.  Winds will decrease even more tonight, decreasing to near calm.  With calm winds and clear skies, patchy fog will develop and tonight’s lows will be a bit chilly.  Lows will be in the upper 40s/lower 50s for most areas around the Valley.

(3/2/2011): Patchy fog will burn off around 9 am tomorrow morning.  Otherwise, high pressure in northern TX will keep skies sunny with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 80s.  Temperatures will be a little cooler near the coast. Winds will be out of the ESE at 8-13 mph.  Wednesday night will be partly cloudy with low temperatures in the lower to middle 50s.  Winds will be turning out of the SE after midnight.  This will increase humidity levels for Thursday.  Patchy fog will redevelop after midnight.

(3/3/2011): Humidity levels will return back to nearly normal for Thursday and Thursday night as SE winds return.  Winds will also begin to increase once again between 10-15 mph, with gusts up to 25 mph.  Skies will be sunny, with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 80s.  Thursday night will be partly cloudy with lows in the upper 50s/lower 60s.  Winds will remain out of the SE at 11-16 mph, with higher gusts.

(3/4/2011): Your Friday looks to be very comfortable, but a bit breezy.  Winds will pick up again from the SE at 13-18 mph, with gusts up to 25+ mph.  Skies will be mostly sunny with afternoon highs in the middle 80s.  On Friday night, skies will be partly cloudy with lows in the middle 60s.
