Invest 90

Figure 1. 12Z 7/23/2011 Forecast models of Invest 90

I am continuing to monitor invest 90L in the Caribbean, as it continues its west-northwest movement.  There is no immediate threat to the United States, as of right now.  However, there is a good chance of this low pressure system entering the Gulf of Mexico in the next 3-5 days.  How strong and developed it will be is still questionable, currently, as it is in an unfavorable area of development right now.  But, as it continues moving west-northwest, it will start to enter an area with less shear are warm waters, criteria needed for further development of tropical systems.  I will continue updating my blog as this system continues to progress.
