Gert

Tropical Storm Gert will continue tracking north, then eventually north-northeast to northeast and away from land.  Bermuda discontinued its tropical storm warnings.  With maximum sustained winds of 60 mph, Gert is expected to gradually strengthen within the next 12-24 hours, but it will be moving over cooler waters and is expected to transition into an extratropical system after 24 hours.  Therefore, it isn’t forecast to reach hurricane status.

Invest 93

After a couple of days of being inactive, invest 93 has once again caught the eyes of NHC.  A large area of showers and thunderstorms over the Lesser Antilles will be moving westward over the next 24-48 hours, will little to no further development.  However, conditions do seem favorable for some development over the next 2-3 days. This system will be monitored closely over the next 5-7 days.
